With more than 1,100 nominations across individual, organisational and project categories, the inaugural ET Enterprise Security Awards celebrated India’s cybersecurity leaders, with winners selected through a rigorous evaluation by an independent jury comprising leading CISOs, security practitioners and industry experts.
The awards honoured some of India’s most accomplished cybersecurity leaders and organisations, recognising excellence in cyber leadership, innovation, privacy, resilience and business impact. Attracting over 1,100 nominations from across industries, it reflected the rapid maturity of India’s enterprise cybersecurity ecosystem and the growing strategic importance of cyber leadership in the boardroom.

Among the standout individual winners, Kiran Belsekar, Bandhan Life Insurance and Uttam Kumar, Tata Digital Limited were honoured with the ET Cybersecurity Influencer of the Year award for their significant contributions to advancing cybersecurity awareness, thought leadership and community engagement beyond their respective organisations.
Shivani Arni, Mahindra & Mahindra was recognised as the ET Cyber Woman of the Year, celebrating her leadership in driving enterprise security transformation and inspiring greater diversity in the cybersecurity profession. The awards also recognised excellence in data privacy with the ET DPO of the Year honour, while the ET Rising Star of the Year award celebrated an emerging cybersecurity leader who has demonstrated exceptional impact early in their career. These categories were created to recognise excellence across the entire cybersecurity leadership spectrum—from established leaders to the next generation of security professionals.
The awards recognised excellence across a wide spectrum of categories, including ET CISO of the Year, Cyber Woman of the Year, DPO of the Year, Lifetime Achievement Award, Rising Star of the Year, Cybersecurity Influencer of the Year, alongside industry-specific organisational awards and project excellence categories spanning Identity & Access Management, Zero Trust, Cloud Security, AI Security, DevSecOps, OT Security, SOC maturity and Data Protection.
The winners were selected through a comprehensive multi-stage evaluation process led by an independent grand jury comprising some of India’s most respected cybersecurity leaders. The jury assessed nominations on a five-pillar framework covering the business context, strategy and execution, innovation, measurable impact and future readiness, ensuring that recognition was based not only on technology implementation but also on demonstrable business outcomes and long-term resilience.
More than 1,100 nominations in the inaugural edition underscores how cybersecurity has evolved from a technology function to a strategic business imperative. Entries came from sectors including BFSI, manufacturing, healthcare, retail, IT/ITeS, government and digital-native enterprises, showcasing innovations in cyber resilience, privacy, governance and secure digital transformation.
